How's it been going since you wrote this? :)

Well, I continued writing weekly, am now debating adding another publication on substack into the mix, and considering a PhD. All in all, confusing but exciting 😅 At least it’s all writing related!

I’ve also been playing with the idea of trying to create a community in a more official way, to exchange ideas, feedback, etc. If you have any thoughts please do share - I’d love to get another’s two cents 😁

Sounds fab! Have you considered a podcast or a patreon? I suppose there are some patreon-esque features on here, but could be cool. I look forward to reading more of your stuff. Instagram ads work :)

I actually just borrowed a recorder from my sister to try recording audios, though I expect cringing to be the main sensation for a while 😅 A podcast would be awesome, though!

I’m happy the ad works, I was just playing around but I’m grateful it got us connected :) Looking forward to reading more of your work too!

It really does read as though you’re a veteran at it. I can relate as well, I had to take 10 steps back to gather the momentum needed to jump across the hurdles ahead. Not regretting one bit! Keep at it, you doing great!

Thanks Faux 🥹🙏🏻

It’s definitely comforting to know I’m not alone in having this type of path revealed to them, and seeing how you’re all doing gives me confidence in taking next steps ✨

“So, I did as my elders advised, and followed the predetermined path.”

The Wyrd Sisters work in funny ways. Very relatable read and yes, always heed the synchros! Become filled with ørlog.

I've heard it put that if you can “see” the path of your life, it might be because you're on a road someone else already paved for you. The true path requires some fog for suspense and uncertainty, doesn't it?

But maybe that's how we ensure we “stay on course”, embrace the “strife/neikos”. Fate loves an adventurer.

Couldn’t agree more! The path also has a funny way of testing you by giving you a cosy level of stasis so you really need to kick yourself in the ass to continue moving forward. Adventure’s call is always heeded

For what it's worth, as someone who primarily reads nonfiction, you come across as a natural at it. It's clearly just how your brain works, and you already have the advantage of clarity and flow. Lots of nonfiction is rich with insight, but terrible to read because of how stilted it is. Academics in particular are guilty of terrible writing.

We can spend years telling ourselves we are/should be one thing, but your natural talents and inclinations will find a way to emerge. You can't go back now, nor should you. Keep going.

Thank you, I really appreciate the vote of confidence!

It’s funny how things develop in unexpected ways. If this entire experience taught me anything, it’s that we should never be too sure of our own limits/capabilities or what direction our life will take
